While I was getting my inner and outer fairing painted, I explored the idea of enhancing my bike while I had it apart. I read that replacing the weak stock fairing speakers made an incredible difference in the sound quality and volume of the stereo system. I researched for about a month before making my decision. I chose these speakers, due to the fact they had received rave reviews on various forums I read. I could hardly wait to get the fairing back together to give them a 'test ride'. Well, I got everything back together, fired the bike up, and took it out for a spin. I was amazed, to say the least. The sound was crystal clear, much fuller, and there was much more volume than before. Now when I am at 70 mph, I don't struggle to hear the stereo any longer. I used to have to turn up the radio all the way up, now, I usually only have to go halfway. I wouldn't have believed it until I heard it for my self. Replacement was a snap. Don't be afraid to take the outer fairing off. There are three windshield screws, and one screw on each side of the inner fairing. Altogether, you should have an hour or less in the whole job. If you are in the thinking stages, think no longer. Just do it. Not only do they sound good, they good great too! |
