| Get Seen with Theses LEDs (5/5) | Jan 12, 2009 | Gregory Smith | Stone Mountain GA US | |
| If you want to get noticed and not have people NOT see you when you are approaching them then get these LEDs. They are diffinately bright. I have used these LEDs lights for 4 days and can already tell the difference in being seen by other people. I believe these LEDs could save a lot of lives. They light up my whole garage door at about 15 feet so I know they illuminate over a wide angle. The only reason I would give them 4 stars is I wish they were more of a comfortable fit in my bullet lights ('08 Harley Sportster), but for being a universal adaption for a lot of motor cycles they do a good job. I am giving them 5 stars because I believe they are too important to leave off a motor cycle. | ||||

I wanted something that would be bright enough to get attention, and these (with the 1156 pair and equalizer) more than do the job. When on, they are actually painful to look straight into at close range (at least in my dim garage area) and leave a persistence of vision. They are going to be very visible flashing in almost any condition. One small caveat - they will work right or wrong depending on if they are upside down or not (at least with the kit that includes the 1156, 1157, and equalizer). Do one at a time and check they do what you expect when you trigger the turn signal. They will fit, but you must turn them so the wire is inside the reflector area instead of sticking up into the edge. Pre-bending/twisting the units will make them fit easily. (One more note - the rear lights had the wiring (tip/shell) backwards so a bulb would work but not the LEDs. They work fine after rewiring, but I had to consult the service manual and schematics to figure out pin 1/2 and the colors of the wires were backward, and it took a while since I didn't expect this). |
