The light is a fairly easy install and gives the bike a unique look. The light's output is comparable to OEM and better than many aftermarket lights currently out there. Comes with a standard H4 Halogen bulb. I would recommend going ahead and ordering the optional offset mounting block when making this light purchase. It is not a standard 3/4" base like many, it is 1/2" so I'd save yourself the time of looking for a base to fit and, go ahead and get the one made to match. I had to take the light back off bike to make adjustments to the beam angle. The reason being is that the adustment screw on the standard mounting block when set on the triple tree is directly in line with the fork. Consequently it leaves no room to get an allen wrench between the two for tightening. My bike is an 03 Sportster. Wider wheel bikes might not experience this issue. Also, I think the offset brings the light forward some from the fork sandwich and, showcases more of the quality chrome work. It offers better depth too! All in all I like the fact that I haven't seen very many others out on the road with this style on their bikes (at least not yet). When looking to indiviualize your bike, this light is a nice compliment to that end. Good rides to all:>) |

This thing is beautiful. I'll quote my friend's reaction, "OK, now I'm jealous!" We both own a Yamaha V Star 650 Classic and I have added the Maltese Cross theme to my bike. This headlight is now the center piece of the bike. Very simple installation! Not like 3 wires gets tricky but for those that don't know how a wiring diagram of which wires do what may be helpful. |
